What could be if we just planned our goals, coordinated a strategy, and executed our plans?

“A goal without a plan is just a wish.” - Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

We all have goals; some people create them in December promising to fulfill their aspirations for the new year vocalizing the infamous line, "New year, new me!" Yet, I believe many of us are experts at planning these goals out, but have trouble coordinating and executing the plans which leaves us hitting a dead end. Others may have the gift at just doing it (shout out to Nike), but when it comes to planning they are the last people you want to join that initial process. In order for us to see these goals and dreams come into fruition, it's going to take some serious planning, coordination, and execution.

Proverbs 21:5 - "Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run;
    hurry and scurry puts you further behind." (MSG Version)

Planning is the most important aspect of a project. You cannot, and I repeat, CANNOT get by with half done, loose planning. I've been a part of so many attempts at a project/activity that had potential to be amazing, but because of a lack of planning they failed. I, myself, have attempted to look like those Instagram fitness guys, but I always fell short because I don't plan out how/when I want to accomplish that goal. No matter what it is you want to achieve, you must plan!

Proverbs 24:27 "First plant your fields; then build your barn." (MSG Version)

After a plan has been reviewed then set in motion, the next point is to coordinate your next steps. Coordination is probably the easiest and less time consuming step to achieving a goal. When we coordinate/strategize what needs to be done and when, execution of the plan can be simpler. Coordination also involves organization; it's a huge struggle of mine and honestly, I often use the excuse of "organized mess" which is UNACCEPTABLE (I can't be alone with this one). The proverb above shows us, to be successful it involves coordination. Don't miss out on a great harvest because of a lack of coordination.

"Execute every act of thy life as though it were thy last." - Marcus Aurelius

 Execution of your strategy is dependent on two things: How well you planned and if you are mentally prepared. We've already touched on planning, but mental preparation is also key. I like the quote above because it sums up what mental preparation can do for strategy execution. Do it as if it's your last project or activity. If we go into a project with this mindset, imagine what could be!

As I type this, I'm already thinking of the 50 things I need to plan for (have I, well...) and I will hold myself accountable to what I have just written. Plan, coordinate, and execute. Plan hard, coordinate with wisdom, and execute with diligence.
